Waiting Saints

December 21, 2008

I have a hope, bright in darkest place;
a drowning flood of ocean’s grace
to rise around these broken feet
and take me up to wondrous dreams.

Though stars go dark
and all hearts may fail
still strong in love is my King

Though mountains tremble
and the heavens flee
still my hope is held by one glorious thing;

That God himself should come and pay
the very ransom he demands of me
and batter down the captives’ cells
to take them up to eternity.

Though sickness threaten to destroy
or all men attempt to overthrow
still strong I wait upon the Lord
in faith and love and unending hope.

Though love may come
and hearts may fail
yet I will call upon your name.
For what other hope for waiting saints
than perfect love and unending grace?

    this poem riminds me a lot of the song amzing grace. it is truely amazing the love that our father has for us, and in reality we have nothing but his love.
