The poet balances words on a pen
between
past and present
to keep history at bay
Of inked emotion
and of passion held in pages
the muse, for the sake of tomorrow
will never cease it’s change
To lay deep the foundation
for Rome, Greece, and all world power;
the knowledge stolen
and locked away
causing nation’s falls
But the poet places cities
side by side in space
leaving each marked as legacy
for some stronger, stranger race
