Love the second verse Ben.
"So walk, measure out immeasurable greatness . . .
to grasp the edges of the hope . . ."
lovely.
My own new mantra: "I believe I SHALL SEE the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." Considering I SHALL SEE as a new tattoo.
Loving the reminders of hope.
Keep it up!

i haven't met a single Christian in months who can name all of the 10 commandments in order. it occurs to me that if Christians aren't aware of the sins they are to repent from - it makes repentance difficult. & if we grieve the Holy Spirit every time we sin, then it is important to know the ten commandments in the context of the sermon on the mount in which Jesus Christ equates anger with murder & merely to look & lust with adultery. these seem important to know very well if we would like to create a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit so that it might work through us - as it did through the apostles.

Ahh yes, I remember reading "Sex and the Supremacy of Christ". Piper mentions ANTHEM in that and also in "Battling Unbelief". If you heven't read "Battling Unbelief" I highly recommend it! You can borrow it if you like.

Truth. And the only reason the United States of America has stood so strong for so long is because we were a nation founded on God. Historians try hard to write God out of our history by telling us our founding fathers were all athiest and agnostic, but in simply reading the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence or letters that many have written, their faith is clearly seen. We know the truth and that each sought after Him and had personal relationships with our Lord Jesus Christ. The least religious among them would put to shame most pastors of today. We are the only nation in the U.N. that does not average a revolution every 30 to 40 years. We are a blessed nation, but over the last 60 years, or so, we've forgotten that. We have two choices; 1. repent and be changed or 2. keep on and be judged by the Just Judge who has the power to destroy and to throw whole nations into the lake of fire for eternity. He is to be feared and He is to be praised.
